Timely reissue of this rare late 70s/early 80s Peter and Patricia Brown production that married disco with soul and boogie. This is High Fidelity’s only known release but they certainly gave the world a memorable one-off! The pulsating ‘From Us To You’ is a funky floorfiller, ‘Magic Carpet’ has a similar vibe and uses the disco blueprint to create a thumping slab of boogie while the mellow, spacious ‘Lifetime’ catches the band in a more relaxed vibe. The stepping groove of ‘Love Champ’ is another soulful moment that contrasts with the Rimshots-esque ‘Dedicated’ with it’s rolling groove, uplifiting lyrics and sparkling keys. Superb stuff. Comes in a plain white sleeve as did the original.
