Third album from acclaimed producer, musician, songwriter and Dj Dego, ‘Too Much’ is a celebration of the breadth and depth of his vision and his ability to bring in the right collaborators to work the tracks he lays down. Nadine Charles’ versatile tones grace the mellow opener ‘A Strong Move For Truth’, Samii sings on the spacier ‘Good Morning’ while Canadian Ivana Santilli features on the pacey groove of ‘Remini Dream’. All the classic Dego touches are here – the crunchy boogie of ‘Unknown Faults’, the jazz ‘You Are Virgo’ and the percussion heavy ‘Numero 15’. Obenewa guests on the gorgeous mid-tempo organic jazzy soul of ‘I Don’t Wanna Know’, ‘Ogawa Okasan Said Just Play’ is a muscular funky boogie banger while ‘Just Leave It’ features Lady Alma’s playful vocals. So many highlights on this brilliant set: don’t overlook the pulsating, slick dancer ”Life Can Be Unreal’ with Sarina Leah’s laid back tones. A triumph, as you’d expect.
