New releases and pre-orders 7th of February 2020

Gil Scott Heron recorded his last album ‘I’m new here’ 10 years ago and to celebrate its anniversary the album is reissued with extra tracks plus there is a reimagining album by Makaya McCraven which really brings the album to life. The Sorcerers have a very interesting soundtrack album ‘In search of the monkey god’. Jeremy Pelt and Christian McBride both has good new jazz albums. Steve Spacek has a new album ‘Houses’

Larombe ‘from Philly’ is a collection of unreleased 80’s Soul tracks which is really very good now available on Cd and Lp. Al Kent has re-edited many Disco cuts for the part Six of his |Disco Demands series.

Next Friday 14th February is Valentine’s Day , we have come up with a selection of 25 mainly Soul and Jazz albums as Gift ideas here.


Check out the first two 12″ in our new series of Early underground disco classics here. The Patti Jo and South Shore Commision/Ultra High frequency are great Tom Moulton mixes and sound fantastic – they were superbly mixed by Tom Moulton for, but not released on 12″ at the time.
