New Releases and Pre-Orders, Friday 10th March 23

There are some good new releases and reissues this week. Firstly the second 45 on Will’s Motherlode label, a good rare blue eyed soul track from 1977 is reissued for the first time. Come and grab a copy off Will tomorrow morning where we will be officially launching it in the shop, and check out the tracks and a write up here

Carmen Lundy is one of the greatest living Jazz vocalists and her new album ‘Fade To Black’ is another great album to add to her brilliant catalogue, we still have most of her previous Cds in stock, viewable HERE. Christian McBride New Jawn ‘Prime’ is now available on LP as well as CD. Dexter Wansel’s four Philadelphia International albums are available on a double CD.
We Want Sounds have compiled a good LP of Mainstream Disco Funk tracks including some rare 45’s and unreleased tracks. Real Gone Music have two good reissue LPs ; Southside Movement often sampled self titled Funk/Soul album and Don Cherry ‘Hear And Now’ . We are back in stock of a couple of 45’s  Coke Escovedo’s popular rare groove and Yvonne Baker’s northern soul classic.
Pre-order for next week for Masterpiece Vol 33 Cd , and the week after for some great vinyl LPs, including Kool and The Gang ‘Live At PJs and some good Motown reissues. Also pre-order the next batch of 45’s from Soul Brother and Expansion including Harold McNair British Jazz dancer anthem ‘The Hipster’ , Vaneese And Carolyn rare groove  ‘The Goodbye Song’ and a great double sider from Salena Jones. Record store day is 22rd April and the list of products has just been released which you can see below. There have been some quite large price increases from many labels including Music On Vinyl, Ace and universal group of labels. We still have a large selection of titles available at the old prices whilst stocks last , but restocks will be between £3 to £10 (a few are more than that) more expensive when we reorder, so take your chance to buy these great albums at the old prices whilst they last. The new reissues on Soul Brother from FBI LP and Johnny Hammond Gamblers Life’ LP and CDsound great and have been flying out. as has the Webster Lewis Anthology CD and LP compiled by Will Fox and Ralph Tee LP grab your copies now if you haven’t already purchased
The new 45’s on Soul Brother and Expansion have also been very well received. We still have regular dinked and limited edition full centre Dj Copies of the excellent in demand 45s from China Burton and Betty Everett on Soul Brother and classics from Pleasure and The Blackbyrds on Expansion, see the feature here.
