Cornell CC Carter hooks up with Soulpersona and others to create a very strong 80’s sounding Soul album ‘One Love’. This album is likely to receive heavy airplay on Solar and Mi-Soul etc and dance floor action. Brian Simpson returns with another quality smooth Jazz offering.
Serge Gamesbourg presents the best of Boston disco with a fine compilation featuring many lesser known tracks. Salsoul Funk does what it says on the cover.
There are some very good Jazz Vinyl reissues with the killer Nimbus Spiritual Jazz/fusion album from Jesse Sharps on a double LP with additional track, the rare Bobby Rodriguez latin jazz album ‘Simply Macrame’ and some classic jazz from Roy Haynes, Joe Henderson, Jimmy Smith and more.
There are good reissue CDs from monk Higgins and Ryo Kukui plus tow classic double A side 45’s from Cymande and 12″ classics from Donald Byrd and New Jersey Connection.
