New releases

There are some really good albums this week.

Lindsey Webster has made a fantastic new Soul/Jazz album ‘Back to your heart’ confirming her as one of the leading contemporary female singer/songwriters. If you missed them also check out her first two albums ‘Lindsey Webster‘ and ‘You Change’ which are also great. Yusef Kamaal is a new artist on Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood label, a superb New Jazz set paying homage to the greats.
Lee Fields has made an excellent retro Soul album ‘Special night’ backed by the fantastic Expressions, there is a limited edition double CD with the instrumentals.
Wallace Roney has a stellar line up for his brilliant  ‘A Place in time’ album. Bugge Wesseltoft has a great double set including unreleased cuts and new versions of tracks he has recorded over the past 20 years. There are some good reissues including an anthology of Melba Moore’s Buddah and Epic recordings, The Chimes and a rare Brazilian classic from Antonio Carlos & Jocafi.
