Nice album made in the tradition of the classic Blue Note Hard Bop style from Belgium by the Sidewinders, who are led by Trumpeter Michael Pare. The influence of Freddie Hubbard and lee Morgan are obvious with covers of ‘Hub Nub’, ‘Mr Kenyatta’, ‘The Joker’, ‘Open Sesame’ along with Kenny Dorham’s ‘Short Story’ and Bobby Timmons ‘A little Busy’. Good album of faithful versions by a great band.
