Australian vibraphonist Alan Lee recorded three albums as leader between 1973 and 1974. This anthology is drawn from these sought after LPs. His version of Freddie Hubbard’s ‘Sunflower’ is superb as is his interpretation of ‘Dance Of The Adolescents’. Some of the classical tinged tracks are acquired tastes. Only on the CD, try the swinging version of ‘Comin Home Baby’ and a wonderful elongated take of War’s ‘World Is A Ghetto’ plus the Jazz dancer ‘Flying Saucer’.
