Numero has compiled 10 fairly obscure Spiritual Soul tracks to make this really nice and laid back album ‘Eccentric Spiritual Soul’. The tracks have an ethereal feel, mixing Soulful vocals with soul-Jazz music. Kalima ‘Where Is The Sunshine’ is a beautiful vocal cut , Spunk ‘La Bimini’ is a lovely laid back stepper from their rare early 80s album. Lenny White ‘Sweet Dreamer’ is a sublime downtempo soul cut co-written by Weldon Irvine featuring the vocals of Linda Tillery and a great line up including Herbie Hancock, Pat Gleeson and Paul Jackson. Fathers Children ‘Linda Movement’ is a very soulful laid back groove. 24 Karat Black, ft Larhonda Legette’s wistful vocals even more so, Calvin Keys ‘ You Are All I Need’ a very soul guitar led instrumental . Really nice chill out comp.
