Atlantic Records subsiduary Cotillion only released one 45 by New Orleans soul sister Irma Thomas, the Southern soul ballad ‘Full Time Woman’ in 1971. This was one of 3 tracks she recorded at Malaco Studios. Irma recorded 15 tracks for the label in Malaco, Miami, Detroit and Philadelphia, 13 of which were unissued, all are featured on this CD. The ballad ‘Shadow of the Sun’, the semi funky ‘Fancy’ and ‘Our Love don’t come that easy’, up-tempo Motown-esq Turn Around and Love you’ and ‘It’s Eleven O clock’ and early Philly dancer ‘Adam and Eve’ are the highlights, but these recordings reveal a lost talent For the label.
