22 track CD containing The Main Ingredient’s first and third albums, namely 1970’s L.T.D (the initials of each of the members) and Black Seeds from 1972 which was self-produced. L.T.D kicks off with the tough, uptempo ‘Can’t Stand Your Love’ and is a typical blend of slower ballads interspersed with pacier cuts, namely ‘Life Won’t Be The Same Without You’. ‘Black Seeds keep On Growing’ has a socio-political funky soul feel, ‘Movin’ on is a well orchestrated foot tapper, while the bulk of the album contains mid tempo harmony heavy ballads and sweet soul pleaders. ‘Another Day Has Come’ is a wonderful beat ballad while ‘I’m Leaving This Time’ is the pick of the slowies.
