Originally released in 1979, ‘Let’s Talk It Over’ was Lee’s first album and included his most successful song of the time, the infectious, JB soundalike ‘She’s a Lovemaker’ which saw national distribution on the London records logo. The album covers many stylistic bases with Fields’ sharp, rasping vocal style suiting everything from the deep soul of the title track to the in demand deep funk of ‘Funky Screw’ to the northern soul biggie ‘Take Me Back’. Essential stuff.
