Former Second Image singer Georgie B and the Groove Association releases his 7th self penned and produced solo album ‘My Time To Shine’. Georgie has built up a solid fan base with his feel good 80s influenced brand of Soul music. ‘Upside Down’ , ‘Let’s Reminisce’ and ‘Girls Wanna Party Too’ (featuring Deborah Bell) are uptempo dancers with strong basslines, that really take you back to the early to mid 80s . The slightly slower but heavier grooves ‘Circus Clown’ , ‘You Know’ and ‘Soul Night’ have more of a mid 80s feel. There are a couple of nice Jazz Funk instrumentals ‘Georgie’s Jam’ and especially good’Moving To the Needle ‘ plus three ballads the strongest of which Is ‘My Time To Shine’,which give the album contrast makes the album more rounded and complete, making this possibly Georgie’s strongest to date.
