Eddie Kendricks’ best regarded and perhaps strongest album, ‘People Hold On’ was issued in 1972 and is typified by that wiry bass and busy production that gives the record a full, dynamic feel. The best of the funky cuts is the tough ‘Let Me Run Into Your Heart’, ‘Girl You Need A Change Of Mind’ is a 7 ½ minute epic classic, ‘Date With The Rain’ is a huge spin on several scenes and never sounds old while the dark edged ‘I’m On The Sidelines’ is a killer mid tempo. Strong album.
