‘Primal Scream’ from 1976 was Trumpeter Maynard Ferguson’s first venture in Jazz-Funk and a really good album ‘Invitation’, the heavily orchestrated ‘Primal Scream’ and ‘Cheshire Cat Walk’ are standout funky tracks. New Vintage from ’77 includes many movie and hsow theme’s including an interesting tke on ‘Maria’.
