Really good album for the robotic French producers, this album has enough guest stars and writing skill to lift it above being simply a commercial record. Giorgio Moroder gets his own track (self titled) – a spacey, futuristic synthed-out bit of disco, Nile Rodgers guests with his guitar and there are some really nice soul cuts, namely ‘Fragments of Time’ and the heavy, deep grooves of ‘Loose Yourself To Dance’. It may be on the pop end of the soul/funk spectrum but it’s actually a really good, infectious album that , when listened to as a whole really gels and positions itself as one you can come back to again and again.
