It’s been eleven years since Carmen Rodgers gave us the great album ‘Free’ and the one-time N’Dambi backing singer is back with a really strong album in the form of ‘Stargazer’. The slick, mid tempo, multi-layered opener ‘Stargazing’ heralds the beginning of a lushly produced set and the warm groove of ‘Beyond The Stage’, the spacious, airy vibe of ‘Make A Way’ and the single ‘Heartless’ are highlights. ‘T.Y.S (Tell Your Story)’ is a has a heartbeat tempo that quickly becomes an infectious foot tapper while ‘Stay’ and ‘Love Stories’ are full, sumptuous ballads. Good comeback.
