Debut album from Louis Cato, ‘Starting Now’ is a the product of a life spent working on other projects and with other musicians and sees over 20 years experience distilled into this varied 10 track set. There’s a nice warm groove to the organic ‘In My Reach’ with Cato’s voice reminiscent of Anthony Hamilton, ‘Back And Forth’ is a summery footapper that has a soft Latin feel in the rhythm while ‘Down For You’ is a more expansive mid tempo beat ballad with a big spacious feel. ‘Starting Now’ is a stripped back, semi acoustic ballad while ‘Look Within’ reveals yet more of Cato’s influences, touching on Americana blended with some southern vibes.
