Excellent compilation of Yacht disco comprised of 19 mid tempo Blue eyed Soul tracks from the 70’s. There are plenty of Rhodes keyboards, fat bass lines and tight drum beats on Ned Doheny ‘Get it up for love’, Rupert Holmes ‘Deco Lady’ , White Horse ‘Over and Done With’ , Nicolette Larson ‘Lotta Love’, Photoglo ‘Steal Away’, Matthew Larkin Cassell ‘Rendezvous’, Pages ‘If I saw you again’ and David Batteau’s funky ‘Spaceship Earth’. Most of the songs would have benefitted from more Soulful vocals but if like Steely Dan, Boz Scaggs or the recent Americana comps then chances are you’ll like this comp.
