Focus On Strata East – Pure Pleasure Reissues | Tuesday 13th March 2021

The Strata East Label was based in New York in the early to mid 70’s founded by Charles Tolliver and Stanley Cowell. It released some amazing Spiritual Jazz albums which are now very hard to find original copies of. Fortunately, Pure Pleasure have now released many of the great albums on 180gm analogue vinyl straight from the remastered tapes. We have most of the series in stock and are delIghted to feature the label as our label of the day. All the releases on the label were of a high standard and worth checking out, but particularly recommended are Clifford Jordan – Glass bead Games, Shamek Farrah – First Impressions and Billy Parker’s Fourth World -Freedom of Speech.
