Jazzman continue their excellent Spiritual Jazz series with volume 13 concentrating on music from the 21st Century split over two volumes on both CD and Double LP. BBE continue their rare Japanese Jazz reissue series with Shintaro Quintet and there is a very limited edition compilation of German Jazz saxophonist Fitz Gore with a bonus 45. Lon Moshe excellent 'Love where the Spirit Lies' from the Black Fire vaults gets its first vinyl issue, pre-order Cd for next week. Sharon Jones has a great uptempo Northern Soul influenced 45 on Daptone and there is a new Menahan Street band 45....

It's a great week for new releases and reissues to help you get through lockdown. Doug Carn is the latest classic artist featured in the Jazz is Dead series and the album is now available on black or purple vinyl in limited quantities. Menagerie impressed with their debut 'Arrow of time' a couple of years ago and they return with another good Spiritual Jazz album 'New Worlds' .The Vision is a good soulful house album and is now available on CD.
