Azymuth is the latest artist to complete an album in the Jazz is dead series with Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Mohammmad, the CD for Jazz is Dead 4 is available today, the LP from 13th November. The Marcus Valle jazz is Dead 3 LP is also released today and restocks of the long out of print Jazz is Dead 1 & 2 are expected on the 13th November. Record Store Day #3 – October 24th titles

Record store day 2020 – September 24th releases. First 20 show – click listing headers to see all. Proposed listings On Sat 24th October RSD drop 3day, we will open at 8am and operate socially distanced queues as normal. The pavement outside the shop will be stickered where customers can stand/queue. In the event of a long queue forming before we open, customers are asked to respect the residents of the adjoining Millbrook Court and keep a wide corridor open for them to enter/exit the building safely. Donald Byrd – Places and Spaces | Album of the day 15th October 2020

The Mizell brothers produced some great jazz funk albums in the early to mid 70’s and were most associated with Donald Byrd and this classic 1975 album in particular. Their joyful heavily orchestrated backing tracks framed the lead instrument to create a total sound.
