One Way lead singer Alicia Myers released both these albums in 1981. ‘Alicia Myers’ is produced by One Way’s Kevin McCord and has some real gems. The opener ‘Don’t Stop What You’re Doin’ is a riff laden groove, whilst the slower ‘If You Play Your Cards Right’ is just a beautiful song, superbly performed. ‘I Want To Thank You’ is another fine early 80’s groove and ‘Spirit Of The Boogie’ is a similar cut to Al Hudson’s ‘You Can Do It’. ‘Alicia Again’ is less strong but try the grooves of ‘Do Your Kind Of Dance’, ‘Car Trouble’ and ‘Love Me Or Leave Me Alone’.
