Gamble and Huff produced this 1972 album that really put the O’Jays and Philadelphia International on the map. ‘Backstabbers’ is a classic shuffling mid tempo groover which along with the more uptempo ‘Love Train’ were both Top 3 R&B and Pop hits. ‘992 Arguments’ and ‘Time To Get Down’ are also good Philly dancers, and punchy mid tempo ‘Shiftless Shady Jealous Kind Of People’ is also strong. The brilliant ‘Sunshine’ , ‘Who Am I’ and ‘Listen To The Clock On The Wall’ are good ballads. Great lyrics, production and singing from Eddie Levert and co . Fantastic Album.
