Like his early song writing partner George Jackson , best known for his songs and production, having released only a few 45’s as an artist. These mainly unreleased tracks were recorded at Sounds of Memphis in the early 70’s where Dan was the main writer and producer. The excellent Southern Soul Dities ‘Thanks To You Girl’ and ‘Bless You’, and the more orchestrated and uptempo ‘Hell Paso’ were released. Amongst the 18 unreleased sides the Uptempo ‘Shell Of A Man’ and ‘She’s Not Mama’s Little girl anymore’ plus the ballads ‘How Does It Feel’, ‘It Hurts To Lose At Love’ and ‘What Good Is A Man’ impress . Dan Greer is one of the undiscovered gems of Memphis Soul.
