This compilation of the Fatback Band’s releases for Event/ Spring Records covers the period 1974 to 1984. From the mid 70’s there is the Funk of ‘Keep On Steppin’, ‘Wicky Wacky’, ‘Yum Yum’ and ‘Do The Bus Stop’. As Disco influenced the band’s sound from about 76 there is the Latin tinged ‘Spanish Hustle’, ‘Double Dutch’ and ‘Master Booty’. The 80’s saw a stripped down sound with cuts like the synth bass led ‘Backstrokin’, ‘Is This The Future’, ‘I Found Lovin; and the early Hip Hop of ‘King Tim III’. This collection reflects the change in the sound of Funk over that ten year period.
