Drummer Nicola Angelucci leads this Italian Quintet featuring Peter Bernstein(g), Paolo Recchia (s), Roberto Tarenzi (p) and Francesco Puglisi(b) through 7 original tracks and a couple of covers. ‘Encripted’ has some funky Rhodes keyboards and good sax playing, as it grooves along. ‘Like a Boy’ has a nice groove as well, with a Grant Green feel to the guitar playing. Bernstein’s ‘Bones’ is a lovely track with a good melody and laid back groove. The funky cover of Cole Porter’s ‘Love for sale’ is another highlight.
