Maysa has one of the most distinctive voices in Soul music and this her 10th album ‘Blue Velvet Soul’ epitomises her sound , quality sophisticated jazzy soul. ‘Sophisticated Lover’, is a bright upper mid tempo track and the duet with Bluey ‘Good Morning Sunrise’ is really strong. The other Bluey produced tracks the uptempo ‘Put It on Me’ and the urgent ‘’Nothing but you’ have that London sound. The ballads ‘POURING Rain’ and ‘ ‘Inside my dream’ are very classy.
