Trumpeter Jim Rotundi delivers an album that is post Bop Jazz. There are hints of Blue Note Lee Morgan and Freddie Hubbard, the latter has certainly influenced his playing check ‘Le Crest for proof. ‘Le Graz’ is a flowing number, ‘BC’ fast tempoed Bop, and ‘Biru Kirasi’ has a modal feel and is haunting. Much of the album is laid-back but is quality throughout.
