Curious compilation spread over 2CDS and Double LPs (in two parts) that documents maybe the lesser known world of cosmic disco and downright weird-gear from Belgium recorded somewhere between 75 and 87 (ish!). The vibe is definitely leftfield in almost all cases – kind of like a procession of no-hit-wonders committing their idea of disco, boogie and club sounds to wax and revelling in the newest synth and drum machine tech of the time. Lovedream’s ‘Sexy’, System Love’s ‘System Love’, The Rogers’ ‘Cosmic 81’, Dan Davis’ ‘Feel So Glad’ and Charles Vernon’s ‘Baby Won’t You Turn Me On’ represent the various sounds here. Definitely one for fans of slightly odd, at times downright cheesy private press stuff, most of the tracks here are the result of a decade of digging. Enjoy!
