Dee Dee Warwick’s ‘Foolish Fool’ recorded for mercury in 1969 remains something of a sixties Soul classic. The title song is particularly powerful. The Gamble-Huff produced ‘It’s Not Fair’ is a lovely song sung to perfection as is the sumptuous ballad You Taught Me To Love’. Another ballad ‘That’s Not Love’ is another highlight. And in ‘Don’t Pay Them’ is just a fantastic piece of Soul. There are five bonus tracks – singles that were not on the album including a great version of ‘I Who Have Nothing’. Great late 60’s Soul
