After she recorded two singles for Wally Osbourne’s Toxsan label Monica Burruss became one of the lead singers of the Voices of East Harlem, the gospel-rock group which released three albums and some singles between 1969 and 1974. Her early work is highly regarded in deep-funk community, therefore this 45rpm single re-issue is an essential spin for any so called Rare-Groove DJ.
