‘Future Now’ was the 5th album from Pleasure and released in 1979. Produced by Marlon McClain and Phil Kaffel it marked a change of style for the band away from the jazziness of their previous Wayne Henderson produced albums towards a tougher more futuristic funk sound epitomised by the title track and ‘Space is the place’. ‘Glide’ a storming funk dancer was their biggest hit. ‘Thoughts of old flames’ and ‘Strong Love’ are popular 2-step tracks
