‘Gold’ is a strong Smooth Jazz album from bassist Blair Bryant. Easy on the ear grooves like ‘Secret Agent’, ‘Killa B’ and ‘My Gift’ flow seamlessly as does the cover of ‘Outstanding’. There are some quality smooth grooves that Bryant embraces with a joyous abandon. There is something of Wayman Tisdale to his playing.
