Italian guitarist Fabio Zeppetella is joined by American Aaron Goldberg on Piano, Matt Penman on Double bass and Greg Hutchinson on Drums for this album of 8 originals and a cover of Coltrane’s ‘Moment’s Notice’. The overall feel is similar to say a Pat Metheny album. ‘Ubi’ is a nice atmospheric groove, ‘Choro Pra Gianlu’ moves along nicely and ‘Reunion’ is probably the albums highlight with intricate keyboards over a bustling groove. ‘Across the City’ also has some pace and nice guitar licks. ‘The Silence of the Mind’ is a melancholy slow track. Good relaxing jazz.
