Ella possesses one of those great unique and powerful soul voices and excelled on ballads. Highlights are the great Womack ballad ‘I Can’t Afford To Lose Him’, the Paul Kelly ‘Starving For Love’ the dead slow ‘He Called Me Baby’ which earned her a grammy nomination. Also check the big ballad ‘Sit Down And Cry’ and southern ‘I Want To Walk Through This Life With You’ and the mid tempo ‘Stop Giving You My Man Away’. Best of the unreleased tracks are the Willie Hale written ‘I’m Losing This Feeling’ and ‘Deeper’.
