Really good soul album made by German keyboardist Thomas Motter, Moon Base features some great vocalists and musicians including Saxophonist Bill Evans. Helen Taylor features on the nice mid tempo ‘High’, Karl Frierson on the Bootsy influenced ‘Moon Cookies’, Helena Paul on the uptempo jazzier Jazz Music’ and Menoosha Susungi sings/speaks on ‘Do Me Like A lion’. The highlight though is Melissa Bell’s great soulful voice on the mid tempo ‘Watch Out’ and ‘You’. Refreshingly Soulful album.
