Loleatta Holloway recorded two great albums from Georgia’s Aware label in the mid 70’s., before her better known recordings for Salsoul. ‘Cry To Me’ and ‘Show Must Go on’ are both brilliant versions of Sam Dees deep soul classics. Sam also wrote the ballad‘Can I’ and the dancer ‘I Know Where You’re Coming From’ . The ballads ‘Gone On That First Plane’ , ‘Part Time Lover Full Time fool’ and the 2 steppers ‘I Can’t Fool Myself’ and ‘Casanova’ are also highlights. Loleatta’s powerful voice is superb throughout.
