1982 Funky fusion set from Dave Valentin that includes the punchy ‘Street Beat’ among others, with keyboards from Dave Grusin, bass from Marcus Miller, and guitar courtesy of Jeff Mironov. The breezy ‘I Don’t Want To Fall In Love’ is a pacey dancer, the carnivalesque ‘Clove And Cinammon’ rides on a Latin rhythm while the sumptuous stepper ‘In Love’s Time’ slows things down. ‘Got It Right This Time’ is another highlight – a muscular B-line drives the track along coupled with some soaring vocals and keys. This expanded edition includes four bonus 7″ versions of albums cuts.
