Jazz pianist David Garfield offers an intriguing set that covers a broad selection of Jazz. It is predominantly mellow and has a lazy summer Sunday afternoon vibe. Mostly covers, there are nice versions of ‘Song For My Father’, Sting’s ‘Fragile’ and Joe sample’s ‘Rainbow Seeker’. There is also a pleasing arrangement of Oliver Nelson’s ‘Stolen Moments’. ‘Outside The Box’ is a fine CD.
