Recorded in 1981 ‘Jump On It’ was Ozone’s 2nd album for Motown and featured more vocal lead tracks than its predecessor. ‘Jump On It’ kicks off the album in an expansive, funky style with the band’s signature tight playing style. ‘Mighty-Mighty’, ‘Love Zone’ and ‘Come On In’ are classic Ozone: pulsating basslines and infectious grooves, but don’t miss the sublime harmonies of ‘Your Love Stays On My Mind.’ ‘Lil Suzy’ was their 4th set for Motown, recorded in ’82 and showed the more progressive stylistic advances of the time, especially in tracks like ‘Shake It Down’ and the title track ‘Lil Suzy’. ‘Let The Ozone Take Your Mind’ is closer to the style of their previous albums and is the standout. Timely presentation of a talented group of writers and musicians.
