Koute Jazz is a superb compilation featuring 12 tracks recorded in the French West Indies : Antilles between 1970 and 1980. It contains some excellent unknown highly rhythmic Jazz groovers and Jazz Funk, which some better with every play. Highlights are Guadelope Reflexions ‘Samba Arawak’, Kat-Tet ‘Nikita’, Max Labor ‘Mama Says’, Francisco ‘Wache’ , Max Cilla ‘Crepusucle Tropical’ and Erick Cosaque ‘Kominike’ but every track is voyage of discovery in this seriously good compilation.
