The first two solo albums from Dramatics singer L J Reynolds from 1980 and 1982 respectively, whose voice is magnificent. ‘Key To The World’ is an absolute classic killer soul track that defines it era. In retrospect the 1980 is actually a really good throughout album that should be better known, featuring songs written by Ronnie McNeir. ‘Travellin’ includes his take on Aretha’s ‘Call Me’, ‘Say You Will’ and the boogie tune ‘Special Effects’.
