19 tracks either sung, written or produced by the charismatic Leon, which contains some overlooked but golden nuggets. Leon’s songs have a really distinctive style with great melodies and arrangements. Highlights are his own atmospheric ‘It’s Your World’, ‘Everywhere Inside Of Me’ and ‘Girl Girl Girl’. Syretta ‘I Don’t Know’ is a fantastic mid tempo stepper, Chuck Jackson ‘No Tricks’ a good dancer, Jerry Butler ‘Thank You Early Bird’ a shuffler and Michael Wycoff ‘Looking up To You’ a classic. The 2 steppers Shadow ‘I Cant Hold Back’, Thelma Jones ‘I Can Dream’ Minnie Riperton ‘Can You Feel What I’m Saying’ and Booker T ‘I Came To Love You’ are also very good. Great showcase of an underrated genius.
