Memphis raised Gedeon Luke has made a strong album full of raw funky soul power cut with his band live in the studio. This is another fresh new artist album like Jarrod Lawson (although musically different) that will raise our spirits over the future of the music. ‘Lend me your sunshine’ is a semi funky groove, ‘Echoes’, ‘Gray’, ‘The Healing’ and ‘I’ll be your friend’ are lovely mid tempo tracks highlighting Gedeon’s delicate voice. ‘Electric Playground’ is a strutting groove, but the killer cut is ‘Soul Child’ a horn backed hypnotic funky soul song with a strong hook line. A think another star may have arrived on the scene.

Excellent album, worth every penny. Great Soul from a great new artist. Hoping that he may tour the U.K. in 2016 and future recordings are as good as this debut album.
