Mr. Flute/Love Eyes

Flautist Art Webb’s two 1977 albums on one CD, ‘Love Eyes’ includes a fabulous version of “You Can’t Hide Love” with Art’s flute snaking and weaving throughout. EWF are covered again on the nice stepper “Devotion”, while “Pyramids” is a tight funky groove. “Mr Flute” was produced by Patrick Adams with a mix of fusion funk and jazzy dancefloor soul. The title track is a nice breezy dancer, “Good Times In Life” is a tight, disco funk instrumental, “Come And Get Some Of This” rides along at a fast, bustling pace and “Smile” is another good disco effort. A couple of good albums worth checking.
