1973 album from Chicago’s harmony soul group Brighter Side Of Darkness, ‘Love Jones’ was this teenage foursome’s only LP. The funky ‘Just A Little Bit’ has a Windy City vibe running through it, ‘Oh Baby’ is a mid tempo swayer while the title track ‘Love Jones’ is a subtle spoken word mellow track. The funky, summery ‘I’m The Guy’ has a breezy summery feel while the snappy ‘Summer Ride’ has a decent dancer tempo. This edition includes two bonus cuts – the lilting beat ballad ‘Because I Love You’ and the football themed boogie funker ‘Touchdown’.
