Master drummer’s debut album out on CD! This excellent Jazz Funk album is probably his finest solo work. It features the core of the Headhunters on 2 brilliant grooves that typifies the Hancock sound (driven by Paul Jackson’s bass playing – his version of ‘Hop Scotch (beloved of Hip Hop samplers) and ‘Wild Rice’. The title song is a killer too as Dave Grusin’s ‘Modaji’ and try also quirky Funk of ‘Fair thee Well’.
