This excellent budget priced CD is the perfect introduction to Jazz Funk. 13 tracks that includes some of the genre’s iconic tracks such as Lonnie Liston Smith’s ‘Expansions’, George Duke ‘A Brazilian Love Affair’ and Willie Bobo’s ‘Always There’. Rodney Franklin’s dance Jazz classic ‘The Groove’, Idris Muhammed’s wickedly danceable ‘Could Heaven Ever Be Like This; and Ned Doheny’s catchy ‘To Prove My Love are gems that define this music.
