1981 release from London’s Beggar & Co, Kenny Wellington and the guys were Light Of The World members before striking out with ‘Monument’, their debut and sole release at the time. The opener ‘You Need Love’ fuses jazz funk with boogie and a disco vibe, the full on club-funk sound is there on ‘Somebody Help Me Out’ and ‘Break It Up’, ‘Got To Get Away’ has Mass Production feel to it while the South American jazz funk groove of ‘Bahia De Palma’ was big at the time. ‘Keep On Running’ see the band in full on warped funk mode on a good album ender. Lots of energy and a good piece of Brit-Funk history.
